is designed as you would like it to be. The ICEHOTEL Church with its centrepiece altar, pews strewn with reindeer skins and intricately sculpted nave is consecrated each December on Saint Stephen's Day.The wedding service there is conducted by the local Pastor. The day before you'll spend the night at the Clara or Lydmar, two of Stockholm's chicest hotels, before flying up to Lapland to arrive at lunchtime in daylight with time to acclimatize to the Arctic. There are endless possibilities for your wedding breakfast which can be in the ICEHOTEL restaurant, the rustic Hembygdsgården or a special wilderenss cabin affair. For your wedding night you snuggle up in a double sleeping bag in one of the ICEHOTEL'S extragavantly sculpted Art Suites.
Overlooking Salt Lake, the Lydmar was remodelled by Swedish hotelier Pelle Lydmar and is now owned by the Grand Hotel whose Spa is just around the corner and available for our guests. The description boutique is perhaps over worked and a tad passé, but the architectural and design style here is best described as just that. The 47 rooms are all very different one from another with an eclectic mix of contemporary and classic fabrics, furnishings and Italian bed linen. The staff wear what they feel good in rather than a uniform, and take pride in knowing their city and guiding you to what they think you'll enjoy.
Artcic Chalets are free-standing, sleep up to three people in two bedrooms (a double and a single) and have a small living room and bathroom with Shower/WC. The walls are faced in tongue & groove pine, furnished with dark slate fabrics and each chalet is equiped with a fridge, kettle, TV, WI-Fi and telephone. Kaamos rooms have a common entrance & hallway with clothes hanging space and their own entrance. They sleep 2 people in either twin or double beds and have a bathroom with Shower/WC. The walls are faced in tongue & groove white pine giving a light forest spring feel and each room is equiped with a fridge, kettle, TV, WI-Fi and telephone. Nordic Chalets are free-standing, sleep up to four people in two bedrooms (a double and one with bunk beds) and have a kitchenette, small living room and bathroom with Shower/WC. Walls are faced with white pine, furnished in light grey and each chalet is equiped with a fridge, kettle, TV, WI-Fi and telephone.
Each suite is individually designed and carved by an international competition winning artist and has a ginormous bed, free standing ice sculptures and its own unique design theme. The bed is illuminated from beneath and made out of ice blocks which support a frame bed on which sits a mattress and reindeer skins. The walls are decorated with ‘snice’ art (a combination of snow, water and air blown from a snow cannon). Imaginative lighting creates almost surreal effects making each and every one ultra cool. Seeing is believing.

Guide prices are in part based on our mid-level contract air fares which are veriable in real time unlike our ground supplier contract costs which are generally fixed. We don’t do fancy lead in prices and the time you confirm your booking always use the lowest air fare available. This may mean the confirmed price of your holiday being slightly less or more than the guide price in which case a proportionate reduction-supplement will apply. Carpe Diem = the earlier you book the better, especially for public & school holidays.
