Lulea Archipelago | SAS Direct flights to Swedish LaplandLulea Archipelago | SAS Direct flights to Swedish LaplandLulea Archipelago | SAS Direct flights to Swedish Lapland

For as long as the author can remember I've thought Swedish Lapland and specifically the area inland from Lulea on the Gulf of Bothnia to be a hidden gem. Hidden only in the sense that it's been too complicated/difficult and or expensive to get to. But now ( or at least from the beginning of 2021) that'll be a thing of the past with the advent of the new SAS flight DIRECT to Lulea from Stanstead.

Fromnext winter you'll be able to whisk direct from London Stanstead to the Bothnian Gulf and Swedish Lapland for a long weekend or a week from Monday to Friday. The twice-weekly flights will leave London on Fridays at 09:50  and Mondays at 17:55, with returns on a Monday at 14:55 and Friday mornings at 06:50.

We're working on innumerable ways for you to enjoy yourself but for straters think of owner driver Göran Widén's Pine Bay Lodge. In this unique marine wilderness you can take a hovercarft to the edge of the ice pack, mush huskies, snowshoe in search of The Northern Lights or snowmobile across the ice or in the forest. And at the end of each day wrap yourself up in the warmth of the Lodge and Swedish Lapland. Whilst in summer the Archipelago is accessible by boat, in winter the lodge is best accessed by snowmobiling across the frozen sea (an awe-inspiring experience in itself). About 30 minutes away from Lulea city, at the Lodge you’re close enough to everything you could need, yet secluded enough to make the most of the Swedish Wilderness. More detail on
