Nangu Wilderness Boutique

Sitting on the southern shore of Lake Inari, the Wilderness Boutique Lodge Nangu is the latest Lodge from Mari and Jouko Lappalainen* with the focus on adding luxury to a wilderness experience. The hotel's yard faces out across the lake (as do some the rooms and cabins) with epic views of the Northern Lights & the Midnight Sun. Opened in December 2018, the Lodge has 17 twin/double rooms (20-25m2), 2 singles(15m2), and 5 superior rooms (30-35m2) with panorama windows facing out over Lake Inari. With all fabrics & furnishings chosen by Mari who’s a local girl everything has her authentic Sami feel oozing elegance and a sort of Finnish ‘hygge’. Inari, immortalised by Philip Pullman in his trilogy ‘His Dark Materials’, is the spiritual home of the Sami people and the Nangu a place to enjoy it in luxury.
* Not forgetting their children Essi, Eemeli, Emma and Iida.
