After breakfast you’ll be collected by your driver and taken to out to Arlanda for the short flight up to Swedish Lapland and the village of Jukkasarvi. Check in and have a light lunch at Hembygsdsgarden (The Old Homestead) before collecting your thermal clothing and taking a guided tour of the ICEHOTEL. After some brief downtime its time to for a frozen river snowmobile safari. (Modern Polaris 4 stroke machines with their low centre of gravity are easy and safe to drive, controlled for acceleration and braking from the handle bar, and have a 'kill switch' to shut down the engine in emergencies). Scoot along the river to a wilderness encampment for some traditional Sami salmon soup before winding your way back to the hotel for a truly adventurous night sleeping on Ice. Choose between an Art Suite with its three dimensional original artwork or a Northern Lights Room with a bed carved out inside a wall sculpture made of ‘snice’.
Wake up to a mug of hot lingonberry juice, a sauna to warm up your bones and breakfast in the ICEHOTEL restaurant. Then transfer the short distance across the river to Kenth & Fjellborg & Taisto Thorneus’s husky kennels for a mush through the forest with a stop en-route for sooty coffee and cake round an open fire. Whisk back to the ICEHOTEL and after a quick turn round, travel out to Nils Torbjorn’s reindeer encampment for a short sled ride through the forest, finished off with suovas (dried smoked reindeer) and some tales of Nils’ extraordinary life journey as a reindeer herder and custodian of Sami culture. Spend the final night of your stay in a heated Arctic Cabin and take supper in the ICEHOTEL restaurant which has Sami inspired speciality table d’hote and a la carte menus served up on ICE plates!

*Guide Prices are in part based on our mid-level contract air fares which are variable in real time unlike our ground supplier contract costs which are generally fixed. We don't do fancy lead in prices and at the time you confirm your booking always use the lowest air fare available. This may mean the confirmed price of your holiday being slightly less or more than the guide price in which case a proportionate reduction/supplement will apply. Carpe Diem = the earlier you book the better, especially for public & school holidays.
