The Adventure

A Drive & Discover Road Trip starting off with time in Stockholm before crossing the country to the Koster Islands and rounding off your trip in Gothenburg. perhaps the very epitome of urban chic Stockholm has everything from power shopping around Stureplan, BoHo chic in Sodermalm and a 25,000 off shore island archipelago playground. Its eastern counterpart Goteborg has become a sort of foodies’ capital: Fiskekorka, the food market is not to be missed and Magasinskvaeret the place to grab your Fikka. Take in the very best of Sweden in one holiday.

The Koster Islands

Sweden’s most westerly point the Koster Islands archipelago is a car free idyll in an aquatic paradise. Sandy beaches, ice age smoothed rocks, fishing ports just begging to be water coloured and meadowlands combine in an aquatic paradise.

Miss Clara

on Sveavagen which dissects Norrmalm bang in the middle of the city, Miss Clara is the newest hotel from hospitality group Nobis. The rooms with their herringbone parquet framing the bed heads and on the floor, limestone bathroom surfaces, 'Bed Factory' beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, give Stockholm Syndrome a whole new meaning. Of course they’re also fitted out with everything you’d expect from a Nobis hotel, and the toiletries by Orla Kiely, bathrobes and slipper just add to the very special feel of the place.

Hennickehammars Herrgård

Hennickehammars Manor is a place to fall in love with. Seeing the beautiful mansion dating back to the 1700s with its yellow wood facade, nestled in the forest next to the lake cannot be described as anything but fabulous. The location, environment, history, and the feeling takes hold of you in a very special way. The most important thing for the owner family Backman is to convey the feeling they have for Hennickehammar to you. And that you take with you a piece of Hennickehammar in your heart and soul when you leave.

Hotel Koster

The only hotel by the water’s edge in Ekenas on the south island the Koster is now owner managed by Bjorn Nygard Kers who turned Iceland’s Hotel Ranga from a fishing lodge into a Great Hotels of the World property almost single handedly ( although Katerina might take exception to that! All standard rooms have been given a makeover in a light maritime style echoing the location: nautical bric a brac, pastel grey and blue fabrics and pale Scandinavian pine. Each has a private WC/shower, mini bar, fridge, hair dryer, TV, WI-FI and safe. There also 2 room suites with views over the Kosterfjord. Of course the big thing here is fish, fish and fish: shrimp, lobster, crab, langoustine, mussels, oysters and mackerel. A unique feature of eating here is the mobility of the dining room with meals being served inside or outside depending on the weather.

Elite Plaza

on Birger Jarlsgatan just across from Humlegården and close to Stureplan the Elite Plaza is an eclectic design mix of original 19th century features and classy contemporary ones. Fabrics and furnishing in all the rooms have a snazzy feel to them pairing cerise and grey, primrose yellow and beige, turqoise and walnut. The bathrooms have vessels sinks, designer tiling and wet showers. There are 5 room categories with the standard category all being on the second floor and having double beds, private WC/shower, mini bar, hairdryer, safe, bathrobes & Penhaligon toiletries.
